What are the rules for the board game Sorry?
Move a pawn ten spaces forward or one space backward. If none of a player’s pawns can move forward 10 spaces, then one pawn must move back one space. Move eleven spaces forward, or switch the places of one of the player’s own pawns and an opponent’s pawn.
Can you pass your own pawn in sorry?
You may jump over your own or another player’s pawn if it is in your way, counting it as one space.
Do you have to move in sorry?
if at any time you can move, you must move, even if it’s to your disadvantage. and from the description of the Safety Zone, moving backward out of the zone is legal: however, a pawn may move backward out of its SAFETY ZONE and on subsequent turns move back into the ZONE as cards permit.
How do you enter home in sorry?
You must bring all four of your pawns into HOME by exact count! If at any time you cannot move, you forfeit your turn. When moving along the outside track, you may not move your pawn forward beyond your own SAFETY ZONE entry.
How do you win sorry every time?
Use one and two always to get pawns out of start and into play. The more pawns are out, the more options you have. Keep also some low cards to get a pawn into your home easier. When you draw a Sorry card, you take one of your pawns from your Start and bump another player’s pawn back to their Start.
Why is there no 6 and 9 in sorry?
Movement is handled by drawing from a deck of cards and following the instructions on the card. These cards are numbered from 1 to 12, skipping 6 and 9 because they thought people would get too confused, with additional “Sorry!” cards. You just draw cards and are forced to carry out those actions.
