Geralt’s alive at the end of the books. IIRC that part of the story is told by Ciri to Galahad, it’s not the description of Geralt&Yen’s life after their death according to the author, like the rest of the novel. She’s telling the “happily ever after” story to cope with the pain she feels (in fact she’s crying).
Is Yennefer good or evil?
Yennefer of Vengerberg has always been one of the most interesting characters in the Witcher franchise. She’s compelling because of how often she rides the line between hero and villain. While she has a good heart, she can sometimes do things or act in a certain way that wouldn’t be considered heroic.

How many times can you sleep with Yennefer?
I was told by my friend that you can sleep once with Yennefer (when you meet her for the first time in Skellige) and then you can still romance Triss. If you sleep another time with Yennefer, you can no longer romance Triss.
Geralt and Yennefer were married but soon after Geralt died of a heart attack and Yennefer died of sorrow. That may be why at the end of the book, Ciri gets emotional. He would eventually meet Ciri, just to lose her forever. Ciri might have shed a tear at the ending because she knew they would never meet again.

Are the Witcher books good in English?
They’re generally very accurate and translate meanings and sayings quite well. They come up with good ways to work around the more untranslatable parts from Polish to English and put in clear effort. How is Ciri’s father alive?
Because the games take place after the books, this fact isn’t obfuscated in the games. Only Ciris mother, Pavetta, is dead.
